If you're like me and you only have time for a hologram or two in the morning and maybe another few in the evening (if you're lucky), you can extend the mixed life of your two-part developers with press-n-seal
Developers that oxidize relatively rapidly like JD2 and CWC2 (basically the same developer) can have their life extended by covering the container they're in or floating another container on top of the solution.
The former still leaves air in the container and the latter leaves one with at least two other containers to clean (the floating one and the one you have to put that in while you're using the developer).
You can save some cleaning and greatly lengthen the mixed life of the developer by taking a sheet of press-n-seal (ordinary saran might work as well) and pushing it down into the container until it contacts the developer and then putting the cover on the container.

How much life this gives you will depend on your technique and developer.
