Recent astro shots

Here are some recent photos taken with my Celestron C8 and new CG-5 mount. The photos aren't all that great but I wanted to post about them anyway. It's been cloudy the last week and I'm going through astronomy withdrawal.

At home I attempted several shots of the Ring Nebula (M57) and managed a 60 second shot at ISO 200. The camera I'm using for the moment is a Canon SD750 with CHDK running. Unfortunately it's noisy so the results aren't that great for very faint objects.

Shortly after that I went to the TAS dark site near Atoka and got some wide field and telescope shots. The first below is a dim shot of comet 81P/Wild in Virgo.

Followed by a wide field of Virgo including Saturn.
