ClearType Rotator

ClearType Rotator responds to changes in screen rotation by resetting the ClearType parameters to match the current screen settings.

Usage:

When you run ClearType Rotator it will show as minimized to the tray. Right-click on the icon to access its features.To configure the program run it and then run the ClearType Tuner applet from

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx,

right-click on the CTR icon and select "Save Current Settings". CTR will save the current ClearType settings to disk. Now rotate your screen and repeat the ClearType Tuner configuration and save of those settings in CTR. Repeat until you've configured each orientation.

Now when you rotate your screen, CTR will automatically apply the proper ClearType settings for that orientation.

History:

0.3 - June 27, 2007. Modified so that a full screen redraw is always issued after the screen is rotated. Ensures that all current apps will redraw with current CT settings.

0.2 - June 25, 2007 First release. Basic tester UI and most features functional except the execution of the ClearType tuner applet. The icon is borrowed from another program temporarily.
