Which works better when trying to isolate a setup, Sorbothane or an Inner Tube?

My first guess would be for inner tubes. But someone want to do testing on this? 216.164.237.46

I don't really know but I'm using sorbathane feet. If you read this can you please try to answer my question. Its down at the bottom of the page. It's called Quantifying Differences in Holograms I think. 38.30.157.164

I've been using a 6 foot folding table from Office Depot on my basement floor for the base table of my laser pointer work. I place a piece of carpet on top and an 18" patio stepping stone on top of that. I use 8 sorbathane feet on top of this stone, four in each corner about 2" inward, then place the other 4 half way between each of those feet. Then I put another stepping stone on top of the feet. This last stone has a piece of galvanized tin epoxied to it so I can use Frank's Shoebox mounts modified with circular magnets (2" from Home Depot) epoxied to the flange. It works exceptionally well. Fringe patterns rarely move with cars driving by, doors slamming, etc. Of course, complete quietness is preferred. Every single hologram I've made with this system has come out very bright. I have to retract my statement that inner tubes would probably work better. For a small set up like this, the sorbothane feet do an excellent job. 208.58.199.147

It would be interesting to see if this setup would work on a first or second floor area where wood or even concrete was the floors surface. I was going to try this, but my wife said if I did, she'd have a murder wrap on her hands. 207.172.11.147
