I have been developing my agfa 8e75 plates with kodak D-19 developer and then using PBU amidol bleach. I have got great sucess with this process. Unfortunately I can not seem to find the diminishing supply of the agfa plates (out of buissness) and thus I have switched to HRT's BB-520 plates. has anyone experimented with D-19 or amidol with these plates? jonathan

Hi Jonathan, I'v tryed the D-19 dev. and PBQ on AGFA plates only. Which type of laser are you using? 130.67.15.250

Jonathon,
First, check to make sure your D-19 is not contaminated. It is usually
clear in color, even after bringing your water, (that special h2o) to temp.
for mixing. If it is brown, you have problems! Kodak makes the plates also.
PLUS There is a company in Brussels, Belgium that makes the plates you are
looking for. My e-mail address is bhnbvrd@hotmail.com!!!!! 207.160.161.212

As for your bleach, check with Fisher Scientific for your bleach material.
Potassium Bromide, sulfuric acid, etc, etc.. I actually make my own
bleaching material, and it really clears the plates and maintains the
Brewster and Bragg angles that I seek!!!!!! 207.160.161.212

Also, you want to watch your bleach temp. If it is too hot, it will throw
off you Bragg & Brewster angles. I've been away too long. If this happens,
use the chemical thats 3rd on the processing line. You know, the clear
stuff. bhn 207.160.161.212
