What would happen to the focal point if the convex lens was thinner?

For simple lenses and lens systems, it is the curvature of the surfaces not the thickness that is important to the focal point. Since the lense acts as a prism the focal point for different colors is in slightly different places. But that is another thread. Most high school textbooks have a chapter on optics and can introduce you to all of the basics. 63.193.192.243
