Hello, I have heard mentioned, electro-magnetic isolation tables. HAs anyone else heard of this? Has anyone built one? It seems as though one could achive the same amount of stability with a sand table.

This would be fairly simple but depending on the weight of your table could consume large amounts of energy. It would be a better choice than innertubes. 64.170.192.178

I thought that the electromagnetic tables were actively stabilized. 64.63.88.51

I don't know but I have seen actively stabilized mirror mounts to eliminate the suspension all together. I believe they use the output from an interferometer to adjust the position of a mirror in the system. I believe the mirror mount contains a Piezo electric crystal. 64.170.192.178
