silver to dichromates

after you have the gel hologram can you swell the hologram as with silver holo's to get color shift?
and then rehydrate

Depends on how you made your DCG. You're trying to swell the gelatin and the swelling will depend on how hard the gel is. If you took a silver plate, fixed out the silver and replaced it with dichromate, then a silver method of swelling may work. If you made the gelatin from scratch, it's usually much softer than the gelatin in commercioal silver plates. You need to play with different swelling methods.
