New Holography Forum on Yahoo

Ok, I got so sick of the trash posted on yahoo's Holography Forum I decided to make another one in which I will monitor. I called it "Holography 3D". Here is the link.

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Holography3d/

I posted a few of my holograms under Photos and I posted all the Materials Safety Data Sheets under Files. I also put a Bookmark in for this forum.

I thought a lot of persons may look to yahoo groups and may not find us.

Peace!

Have there been any valid posts on that mailing list in the last six months?

I stopped even looking at it because the moderator wasn't keeping on top of the porn spam and there were so few decent posts.

Seems what we need is just an empty forum over there that redirects people back here.

IMO (which is the only one I can have) the community is has too many forums. With the exception of the russian forum (which is largely catering to the russion speakers) the other forums have practically zero traffic. They aren't offering anything new compared to this forum. It's the content that's important, not the look.

I totally agree and that is why I not only started another forum there but I again wrote to yahoo to delete the "Holography" forum. I feel if a newbie or just an inquisitor finds it and sees all the trash they get a bad feeling about Holography and Holographers. I placed this forum in the link section and will redirect traffic here. It is also a place where I can organize my stuff under the Photos, Files and Bookmark sections. This allows me to have access to that info no matter what computer I set at.

I remember in the past seeing posts on the "Holography" forum asking a question. I redirected the person here and they did not post the question here. They e-mailed me personally instead. So I think it will be an additional avenue to here.

There is also a very active German Language forum. I don't have the link handy but I think Martin posts there.
