6:53 am another endless night. The frogs are ok (they sound like repetitive electronics) but the bed is bad.
I'd been having some back problems before the trip and the bed was almost as
hard as a rock. For the first few days I seemed to wake up every couple of
hours and was always disappointed to find that it wasn't morning yet. It
didn't take me long to get used to the frogs though. Their chirping was
just white noise by the second night.
8:57 am went snorkeling for shells & lying in the sun. Now waiting for breakfast.
Cheese omelet, pancakes, calaloo (spinach), banana.
Crazy Germans are at it again. One is throwing seaweed and is afraid of it, but not afraid to throw it.
9:30 am back at the beach & just arranged with Johnny to go out parasailing at 10:00.
& killed it just as fast once Moses showed up & Johnny clearly avoided him. I didn't like the way he went out of his way to hide what he was doing.
The people working the beach definitely have their territories and Johnny
attempted to poach on Moses turf. I wouldn't have known if he hadn't acted
odd when Moses came around. I'm glad I saw that though as by this time
we'd made friends with Moses and his son Dwayne and I wouldn't have wanted to be
an unwitting means of taking business away from them.
9:55 am Susan here. Two fish in the shallow surf played a strange kissing game. They approached each other head on and nearly touched fish lips before swimming in opposite directions with violent speed. This must be a game or ritual because the fish "kissed" half a dozen times.
People here are amused by our "computer," especially after Rambo read the parasailing story.

Taking notes on the beach. Yes, Legends was fairly crowded this week.
11:25 am just got back from parasailing. It was a blast!
All of our pictures are on the waterproof disposable camera. I'll post
them as soon as I can scan them in.
And here they are...

He's shaking out the 'chute.

We're in the harness and taking off.

Wheeee!

We're at the end of our ride and they've slowed us down enough so that we can dip our feet in the water.
3:41 pm lazed about on the beach. Had road-chicken for lunch. Momma-kitty came by & took fish from
Susan but wouldn't take any of my chicken. Found some good shells while snorkeling. Sandy wasn't interested in being petted but did talk to us some.
Road-chicken is not what some of you might be thinking. I didn't go out
and scoop up a chicken off the road. I went and bought some Jerk chicken
from a stand that was always just outside of Legends. I really needed
something spicier than what Legends offered and I wasn't disappointed!
Sandy (the cross-eyed cat) wouldn't come too close or let herself be petted but
did meow at us quite a lot.
Video of life on the beach at noon

The bird named Buddy. He lives at Kuyaba and at night starts squawking like someone (perhaps a cat) is staring at him with hunger in their eyes.

A video of Dwayne acting like a crazed porpoise. Click on the still to view the video.

A pic of us on the beach (with Dwayne sneaking into the frame :-) )

Late in the day we decided to trek into town to see if we could transfer
some pictures back home. It was good to meet Sue of the Easy Rock internet
cafe.
We were able to connect the camera and send a few pictures back home, yea!
