Misc Thoughts

Our first hologram test will be of a walking snoopy that Susan has had for years
and years. It's a fairly bright white figure and should make a decent test
subject. Shown above is a quick setup so I can get a feel for how I should
lay out the mounts.
My new safelight. As mentioned in later pages, this is turning out to be
an excellent safelight. It's a Digi-Key, # 441-1074-ND and is rated to put
out green in a region that the Slavich PFG-01 is least sensitive to. My
most recent tests showed that even after 20 minutes of exposure to the
safelight, there's no indication that there was any exposure at all after the
film is developed
Until I find a need for something more sophisticated, this will be my light
meter. It's a series of solar cells that will allow me to compute exposure
ratios.
A variable beam splitter from Edmund Scientific.
And a high-quality mirror from the same source.

I received a smorgasbord of holography items in the mail.
a 10m roll of film
Processing chemicals (I've decided not to mix my own just yet. I want to
limit the variables at the beginning).
A new laser diode
